Jon has over 17 years' experience of isolator technology and low temperature chemical bio-decontamination design, manufacture and validation. He holds an MSc in pharmaceutical Engineering from Manchester University UK, a BSc in Industrial Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, UK and is a Fellow of Manufacturing Management (MBA equivalent) Cranfield University UK.
After a variety of positions in the electrical and electronics industry at the beginning of his career Jon started working on Isolator and Confinement systems when he joined La Calhene France, now part of the Getinge group.
Jon founded Cape Europe Ltd. in 2005. Cape Europe specializes in the design, build and validation of VHP bio-decontamination systems and rapid transfer ports.
During 2000 - 2002 Jon co-authored the now well-known ASPEC guide "Isolateurs Qualification" - a French technical publication dedicated to the qualification of isolators for hospital and Pharmaceutical applications.
From 200 to 2010 he was a member of the PDA working party on Biological Indicators for use with low temperature bio-decontamination (VHP) of separative enclosures. The working party's findings were published as PDA Technical Report 51 now a major reference for VHP and isolator users.
